The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy is an excellent resource for pharmacists and health care practitioners to learn more about medication management while gaining valuable assistance with professional development. Here is an overview of some of the academy’s programs:
The Career Center: Ideal for job seekers and employers alike, this resource allows pharmacy professionals to put their resumes online, where employers seeking to fill positions may then peruse them. Additionally, the Career Center hosts a list of current job openings.
Continuing Education: A crucial part of professional development, continuing education ensures that professionals stay current with the ever-changing field of health care. The academy offers live programs and online courses on topical subjects. In addition, the academy hosts the Annual Meeting & Showcase and the Educational Conference each year.
Residency: This program is for recently graduated students of pharmacy, as the residency is typically undertaken in the first year after graduation and helps students gain practical experience to supplement their classroom training.
